Evaluation Research Associate

Romita is an Evaluation Research Associate at the Local Innovation Group based in MIT's Sociotechnical Systems Research Center, providing leadership for technical implementation of evaluations, and contributing to research and analysis for the production of reports, briefs, and proposals. She currently supports two multi-year evaluation research studies: a five-year adaptive learning and external evaluation of an agricultural intervention in India; and a higher-education based, research-driven innovation ecosystem development program in Guatemala. With experience at non-profits, academic research centers, and consulting firms, Romita has designed evaluations and fidelity monitoring systems to track and measure the impact of development programs for poverty alleviation, education, women’s economic empowerment, and public health globally. She holds a PhD in Measurement, Evaluation, and Applied Statistics from Boston College, and graduate degrees in Sustainable International Development and Sociology from Brandeis University in the greater Boston area, USA, and Delhi University in India.
