Using AI to Disrupt Business As Usual In Evaluation Firms

In this session, consultants from Intention 2 Impact, Inc. (I2I), a boutique research, evaluation, and strategy firm will discuss the business case for the use of AI tools in a rapidly growing feminist consulting business and share insights about their experiences experimenting with 3 tools across an array of current projects. Specifically, the presentation will highlight a groundbreaking AI tool, CoLoop, for qualitative analysis of interviews and open-ended survey. The team will unpack what the tool is and how it was used, before offering challenges and opportunities for future use of AI tools for evaluation. Finally, the presentation outlines overarching considerations for the use of AI tools in evaluation and the team will share their commitments to responsible AI use within the firm.. The pros and cons of the following three tools are described: CoLoop for qualitative analysis of interviews/focus group transcripts, Avalanche for qualitative analysis of open-ended survey responses, and Rayyan for literature/document review
