Researcher
CIRAD, France
Marie Ferré (PhD), Researcher at CIRAD - French agricultural research and cooperation organization working for the sustainable development of tropical and Mediterranean regions, based in Montpellier - France, since 2020. I am working on questions related to the evaluation of socio-economic impacts of research interventions. Previous to this, I was a research fellow at the University of Leeds (UK) and Impact Evaluator for the iCASP program (integrated catchment solutions program) responsible for assessing the various socio-economic impacts of iCASP projects and the programme. I have an interdisciplinary background in agriculture and environmental economics. I completed my doctorate at ETH-Zurich in Switzerland, where I used methods from experimental and behavioural economics to study how policy-makers might be able to use incentive schemes to influence management practices on drained peatlands in Switzerland and therefore preserve the remaining carbon stock.
