Isaac O. Acheampong (MSc/MA) is a doctoral student in the Qualitative Research and Evaluation Methods program and a graduate research assistant at the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens Georgia. Isaac has approximately a decade of practical experience in monitoring and evaluation - having worked extensively in the non-profit sector in his native country, Ghana. Specifically, he worked as a Senior Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for the Ghana Cocoa Board, a government agency responsible for regulating the country’s cocoa, coffee and shea sectors. Due to this exposure, his expertise spans policy regulation, program management and policy research. Inspired by how program evaluation could serve as a tool for making meaningful improvements to the lives of his country folk. Isaac studied for an M.Sc. in Development Evaluation and Management at the University of Antwerp, Belgium where he specialized in national institutions, poverty reduction strategies and aid. At UGA, his current research interest focuses on the intersection between artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and the evaluation practice. He is a member of the Ghana Monitoring and Evaluation Forum (GMEF) and the Atlanta Area Evaluation Association (AaEA).
