Gesine Ziebarth, PhD, Research & Evaluation Manager, Lost&Found
Dr. Ziebarth leads the Research and Evaluation Team at Lost&Found, a suicide prevention organization based in South Dakota. She has been a full-time evaluator for over five years working with a variety of programs and populations. Some of her past evaluation projects include measuring the impact of an NIH Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (CoBRE) grant, a project that raises awareness and provides care for young male victims of violence on the Rosebud Sioux reservation funded through a grant from the Office of Victims of Crimes (OVC), and afterschool programs promoting academic and social skills implemented by Volunteers of America, Dakotas (21st Century Education Grant). She is currently the managing evaluator of the STI TPPI grant awarded by FYSB to the Great Plains Tribal Leaders’ Health Board and has been the evaluation partner to Community Action for Veterans, in particular supporting work on the Veteran Suicide Prevention Evaluation grant awarded by the CDC Foundation. Through these and other projects, she has developed extensive experience in program methodology design, data form and database creation, data collection, data analysis, evaluation report writing, and results dissemination in various forms. Dr. Ziebarth especially cares about clear communication of evaluation findings that empowers stakeholders of varied backgrounds to draw their own conclusions and translate them into actionable insights.
