Cody received his MPH from the University of North Dakota in May of 2023. He is a Senior Research and Evaluation Specialist at Lost&Found, a suicide prevention and postvention nonprofit whose vision is "a world in which no young adult dies by suicide." He is particularly interested in data analysis regarding program and policy change for traditionally underrepresented communities. Cody works on various research and evaluation projects at Lost&Found, where he is excited to use data to tell the stories of the organizations and people he works with.
Cody sits on the board of South Dakota Urban Indian Health, Pathways to Inclusive and Equitable Workplaces, and Sioux Falls Pride. He organized the first Pride Parade in South Dakota and has been an advocate for inclusive policies for the Queer community. Recently, he started a 501(c)4, "Sioux Falls Pride Equity Network (SFPEN)," to help advocate for Queer representation in local politics and organize against anti-Queer legislation. Cody hopes to continue to use his skills in research and evaluation to help bring equitable policies and programs for Queer people to South Dakota. He lives with his partner, Josh, and their dog, Cooper, in downtown Sioux Falls.
