James C. McDavid is Professor Emeritus of Public Administration at the University of Victoria. His research and teaching includes topics in program evaluation, performance measurement and performance management. He has conducted research and program evaluations for federal, state, provincial, and local governments in the United States and Canada. Most recently, his publications include articles on transforming evaluation to contribute to addressing the global climate crisis. As well, he has recently published chapters that show how mindfulness practices can support evaluators in their work.
