Kelly Lack, MPP, PMP, has more than 11 years of experience in program evaluation and policy research. Ms. Lack has led or managed studies with a variety of designs, including experimental and quasi-experimental impact evaluations and implementation evaluations. She led an impact evaluation of the Success Boston Coaching program which supports students transition to college in the Greater Boston area, and is current leading rigorous impact and implementation evaluations of a technology-based tool to improve elementary school students’ math achievement and family engagement and of a PreK-12 STEM Pathway program. Ms. Lack also played key management or analytic roles in studies across the fields of nutrition, health, education, income security, and housing, including, most recently, a school nutrition implementation study, studies of the feasibility of purchasing nutritious and affordable meals under a flat nationwide SNAP amount, and studies of strategies to improve access to postsecondary education through dual enrollment and interventions within the federal financial aid system. Prior to joining Abt Associates in 2015, Ms. Lack worked at the Andrew Mellon Foundation in New York City for three years, working on a randomized control trial study examining the effectiveness of online education in introductory college statistics courses. Ms. Lack holds a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and a bachelor's degree from Princeton University, as well as a Project Management Professional certificate.
