Jake is a Learning Manager on iDE's MERL (Monitoring Evaluation Research Learning) team, where he plays a pivotal role in advancing the organization's mission of market systems development. With a focus on project learning, knowledge management, and organizational learning, Jake spearheads the development and implementation of project-level learning plans and processes that harness data and research insights to create effective feedback loops. His expertise extends to cultivating a culture of learning within iDE, using data-driven strategies to improve organizational learning processes and platforms. Jake's commitment to qualitative methods, including participatory approaches and storytelling, ensures that evaluation data is not only captured but also shared with the communities where it originates.
Jake holds a Bachelor's in Environmental Studies from Washington & Jefferson College and a Master's of Development Practice from the University of Arizona. His experiences as a Peace Corps Food Security Volunteer in Benin, a Fulbright fellow conducting research with the Wildlife Conservation Society in Cambodia, and a Continuous Improvement Advisor with FEMA have honed his skills in capturing and communicating lessons learned in diverse contexts.
