Dena Bunnel is a PhD Candidate in Security Studies at Kansas State University, studying agricultural market systems in conflict-affected communities. From 2020-2022, Bunnel served as an advisor for Nuru International to provide technical and institutional capacity building support to Nuru Nigeria, a Nigerian NGO working with small farmer cooperatives in northeast Nigeria. She is currently the associate director for research and international initiatives for the College of Agriculture at Kansas State University.
