Valerie Ehrlich, Ph.D., is the Director of the SI Insights & Impact team at the Center for Creative Leadership and founder of Mission Bloom, a learning and strategy consultancy. Valerie is an experienced professional in the nonprofit sector, steering her team towards data-driven insights that influence systemic change. Working with her team, she is dedicated to unlocking the collective potential of groups aiming to create societal impact. With over 18 years of experience in applied research and evaluation, her career is now primarily centered on building learning cultures within organizations, particularly those focused on challenging systemic injustices.
Guided by the question, "What if we get this right?", Valerie emphasizes emergent learning, continuous program improvement, and reflective practice. Her work delves into the intricacies of internal organizational learning, and she has experience across the sectors of K-12 education, higher education, non-profits, population health, and youth-serving organizations. Valerie also brings equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) expertise, supporting CCL’s internal EDI journey and ongoing evaluation efforts toward achieving more equitable outcomes and a more inclusive organizational culture.
Valerie holds a Ph.D. in Psychology but transitioned her focus from academia to apply her understanding of human behavior to real-world challenges. She has received several accolades for her leadership in professional organizations, always championing the blending of academic insight with lived experience.
With her commitment to building a culture and practice of reflection and learning, Valerie resonates deeply with the ideals of reimagining and building a world rich in opportunities for all. She stands as an ally and advocate, bringing her wisdom and determination to serve the pathway to justice and equity.
