Darlene Russ-Eft, Ph.D., received her Ph.D. in psychology from the University of Michigan in 1973 and is Professor Emeritus of Adult and Higher Education, Oregon State University (OSU) and Assistant Professor of Practice in Technology Leadership and Innovation, Purdue University. She also teaches and serves on committees in the doctoral program at the National Institute for Development Administration in Bangkok, Thailand. She has co-authored 12 books, published 59 peer-reviewed journal articles, 19 editorials or invited articles, 36 book chapters, and has been the keynote speaker at the University Forum for HRD and at the Asian Conference of the Academy of Human Resource Development. Dr. Russ-Eft has chaired 51 doctoral committees, served on 38 doctoral committees, chaired seven master’s committees, served on two masters committees, and chaired one undergraduate honor’s thesis... She worked as a Senior Research Scientist for the American Institutes for Research and later as director of research for international training companies (Zenger-Miller; and AchieveGlobal) before joining OSU in 2002. Her research focuses on transfer of training, HRD evaluation, and professional ethics. She has received research funding from U.S. Department of Agriculture, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation, and several private, for-profit organizations. She was AHRD president, editor of HRDQ, past board member of the American Evaluation Association. She was inducted into the HRD Scholar Hall of Fame and elected as a Fellow to the International Board of Standards for Training, Performance, and Instruction (ibstpiTM).
