Dr. McCloskey has been a licensed social worker since 2002. She has worked with children with chronic, life-threatening illness, developmental delays, and disabilities. She has provided case management, advocacy services, and individual and group counseling with children and perinatal women and has worked as a clinical social work professor at Monmouth University’s School of Social Work and as a community lecturer at The Ohio State University College of Social Work. Dr. McCloskey's research and publications primarily examine the links between mothers’ adverse childhood experiences and postpartum health, mental health, and breastfeeding challenges. Currently, Rebecca is the Co-Director of Research and Evaluation at Mighty Crow Media, LLC in Columbus, OH and collaborates with community partners in grant writing and evaluation, program implementation, and data analysis for programs aimed at the prevention and/or amelioration of various social determinants of health among vulnerable populations in Ohio and beyond.
