Benjamin Williamson, Ed.M, is a Research and Evaluation Scientist for CYBER.ORG. He studies and evaluates the organization’s programs and services in order to extend the organization’s impact and improve the experiences of the teachers, students, and families that CYBER.ORG serves. Through his work with data and measurement, Benjamin endeavors to humanize data and to identify and illuminate trends and phenomena that may otherwise remain unobserved or unintelligible. No matter the forum or format, he aims to bring clarity, precision, and humanity to the statistical stories he shares.
After nearly a decade as a STEM instructor and program coordinator, Benjamin joined the CYBER.ORG team in March of 2020 as a Curriculum Development Specialist. In May of 2022, Benjamin earned his Master of Education from Harvard University in the Mind, Brain, and Education program. In addition to coursework in curriculum design, human development, and neuroscience, Benjamin discovered a new love for data science and educational measurement through his studies in statistics, which led him to his current role in research and evaluation at CYBER.ORG.
Aside from his work in education, Benjamin enjoys spending time with his family, running half marathons, and hiking. He is an award-winning filmmaker, is active in community theatre, and is always busy writing, creating, and learning.
