Dr. Madri Jansen van Rensburg, the owner of Resilience Analysis Consulting, is a South African working across 21 African countries. Madri holds two doctorates in Psychology (Gender) and Consulting Psychology (Organisational memory analysis of regional NGO). She worked and published in health, social sciences, and organisational sectors. She started her career as an academic at the University of the Witwatersrand and the University of Johannesburg. After that, she worked as a research manager in several NGOs, including People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA), Project Support Group Southern Africa, and LifeLine Southern Africa. Since 2007, she has been working as an independent consultant. Madri is a former Management Group member of EvalGender+ and past chair of the Africa Gender and Development Evaluators Network (AGDEN). Madri strongly emphasises practical and implementable research, especially enabling transformation and resilience on individual, group, organisational or community levels. She enjoys working in multi-cultural settings using mixed-method approaches. She has a unique ability to design studies with a sound theoretical basis that is practical and context-relevant and to integrate large and complex datasets.
