Alex Ash is a Senior Research Manager, within the Research, Insights and Evaluation team at M&C Saatchi World Services. As M&C Saatchi’s specialist Global and Social Issues Division, M&C Saatchi World Services (M&CSWS) combines award-winning communications, behavior change, and research expertise with an in-depth understanding of the humanitarian and development sectors. Alex manages, designs, and analyses mixed-method research and emergent learning projects, with a focus on centering diverse audience perspectives and unpacking complexity. In collaboration with Luminate's Learning and Impact team, he led the development and testing of Luminate's new organizational Learning Framework. Alex leads projects for clients such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the United States Agency for Global Media, and the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. His areas of thematic expertise span learning in complex environments, continuous optimization and improvement, and evaluating the effects of large-scale behavior change communications campaigns. He has previously lived and worked in Vancouver, Canada, where he led a policy research program at the University of British Columbia focused on transforming higher education systems to prioritise Indigenous human rights.
