Syed Latifi, PhD, has over 15 years of experience working at the leading international institutions in areas such as program evaluation, educational assessment, innovations, data sciences & analytics, and change management.
Currently, in his role as an Acting Director of the Office of Educational Development at the Weill Cornell Medicine -Qatar (WCM-Q), he leads the programmatic assessment of the integrated medical education program, and serving as the chair of Curriculum and Program Evaluation Committee. Prior to joining WCM-Q he worked for the University of Alberta with Tier-I Canada Research Chair in Educational Measurement, where he also completed his doctoral program, Additionally, he led testing and operations of national assessments at the Aga Khan University-Examination Board, where he also collaborated to develop the automated systems for the large-scale assessments.
His current research interest focus on the intersections of programmatic evaluation, big-data analytics, and governance. His professional interests encompass artificial intelligence, accreditation, and educational development. He is a member of, and a regular presenter at the American Evaluation Association, American Educational Research Association, National Council on Measurement in Education, and Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence.
