Over the past 20 years, Dr. Jaymie Lorthridge has worked to build evidence for strategies that could improve outcomes for system-impacted communities and families. She brings a participatory perspective to her work, engaging stakeholders at multiple levels as partners throughout all stages of a project. In collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and through partnerships with stakeholders, Jaymie designs and implements processes and mixed method studies that support data-driven decision making and inform program implementation and policy improvements. Her social work education and training in culturally responsive and equitable evaluation methods informs the research questions and outcome indicators she proposes. Among her professional achievements, Jaymie is a former Leaders in Equitable Evaluation and Diversity (LEEAD) Scholar and a member of the Child Well-Being Research Network. She earned her MSW and PhD from the University of Southern California School of Social Work and is a proud graduate of Spelman College.
