Natalie Trisilla

Director, Evidence and Learning
International Republican Institute, United States

Natalie Trisilla is the Director for Evidence and Learning in IRI’s Center for Global Impact. She oversees IRI’s monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning technical support and projects, helping ensure that IRI’s programs and approaches are results-oriented and evidence-based.

Natalie joined IRI in 2011 to assist with IRI’s capacity building and women’s empowerment programs in China and Timor-Leste. She eventually expanded her portfolio to include civil society, political party and legislative assistance programming in Thailand, Malaysia, and Myanmar as well as programs on women’s empowerment and on land rights in the Mekong region including Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. Later, she worked with IRI’s West Africa team to support the Institute’s expanded presence in the sub-region. Natalie has served as an international election observer for several national elections in southeast Asia.

Prior to joining IRI, Natalie worked for the United Nations Environment Program on post-conflict development and natural resource governance issues. Natalie earned an M.A. Diplomacy and International Affairs from Seton Hall University and B.A. degrees in Political Science and in History from Olivet Nazarene University. She has studied the Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, and French languages.
