Senior monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) professional with over 15 years of experience managing and advising donor-funded activities in Afghanistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Kosovo, Liberia, Macedonia, Pakistan, Somalia, and the West Bank. Mr. Thompson currently leads the implementation and oversight of MEL contracts as a Technical Director for Social Impact. Prior to that, Chris served as Chief of Party for a four-year developmental evaluation (DE) of USAID’s flagship maternal newborn health activity in Indonesia, supporting innovation and learning for complex programming. Mr. Thompson was also Deputy Chief of Party for USAID’s Liberia Strategic Analysis, assisting the Mission to conduct performance management across its portfolio. Chris holds an M.P.A. from Columbia University and B.S. from Georgetown University.
