Ivonne Padilla (M.P.A., International Development, Harvard University), a researcher at Mathematica, brings over 12 years of experience conducting research in developing countries. Ms. Padilla areas of expertise in education include early grade reading, secondary education, and technical education and vocational training. Ms. Padilla is conducting an impact evaluation of the Integrated Systems of Full Time Inclusive Schools model and performance evaluations of the strengthening of the national education system and the improvement of the technical vocational education (TVET) system in El Salvador. She also leads the quantitative analysis of a rigorous evaluation of building or rehabilitating school infrastructure in the Republic of Georgia. Previously, she conducted impact and performance evaluations of early reading programs under LAC Reads, a USAID-funded initiative to improve children’s literacy and access to education in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Peru. In El Salvador, she led a performance evaluation of a workforce development project aiming to strengthen the link between professional training and labor market demand to improve employment outcomes for youth.
