Luis Paganelli Marin, PhD, is a Research Writer in the Division of Community Health and Research (CHR) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). I lead and co-evaluate a portfolio of evaluations of public health interventions, including community health worker interventions and a community of practice on food insecurity. I have worked in research and program evaluation for the last two years. My evaluation experience includes a variety of educational, healthcare, and community health programs. Currently, I am leading the evaluation of an R25 project at UAMS; the project, titled Partnership in Cancer Research (PCAR), is an 8-week summer program for a cohort of 12 students who will be entering their second year in the fall. I am committed to improving public and community health of Arkansans, especially vulnerable populations, through my culturally responsive evaluations and community engagement.
