Sarya Sok is a Senior MEL Specialist with the Applied Learning and Evaluation unit in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor (DRL) at the U.S. State Department. Prior to joining State, Sarya was the MEL specialist for the Solidarity Center and a MEL consultant with various evaluation and research firms in the United States, Jordan, and Cambodia, including Community Science, EnCompass, ASK for Human Capacity Building, Collateral Repair Project, Pact, and 17 Triggers. She is a dedicated advocate for culturally responsive and democratized MEL in service for better evidence as a foundation for change.
