Tanha Patel is a Program Evaluator and Public Health Professional with over 12 years of experience managing, designing, and implementing strong impact and process evaluations. She has worked with local government agencies, state agencies, academic institutions, and community-based organizations to help build organizational evaluation infrastructure and facilitate data-driven decision making and strategic planning. She has extensive experience engaging teams in a logic modeling process to develop a strategy and theory of change for their programs, creating an evaluation plan, identifying key indicators and metrics, establishing data collection systems, analyzing data, and utilizing data findings for continuous refinement and improvement. She has worked on evaluation projects focused on tobacco prevention, asthma care and management, HIV/AIDS prevention, translational research, placed-based initiatives, and suicide prevention. While at the CDC Foundation, she currently serves as Senior Technical Advisor providing evaluation technical assistance to veteran-serving organizations to build organizational capacity to conduct evaluations of community-based suicide prevention programs, developing a national evaluation for coordinating center for perinatal quality collaboratives, providing training and evaluation technical assistance to perinatal quality collaboratives to build their capacity to evaluate their quality improvement initiatives, and evaluating public health data modernization pilot projects, in partnership with informaticians and health care systems.
