As Director of Evaluation for the SAMHSA-funded Strategic Prevention Technical Assistance Center, Dr. Quinlan supports the evaluation of a national training and technical assistance center, overseeing a team of regional evaluation directors. As a scientific advisor for the Suicide Prevention Resource Center, the Naitonal Action Alliance for Suicide Prevention, and the Zero Suicide Institute, Dr. Quinlan builds the capacity of national, state, organizational,and local suicide prevention leaders to collect, analyze and use suicide-related data. She is co-lead evaluator for the Colorado National Collaborative, a CDC-funded comprehensive suicide prevention model seeking to explore how collective action could reduce suicide by 20% by 2024 in Colorado.
Dr. Quinlan holds a Ph.D. in Behavioral Science with a specialization in Research Methods from the University of Rhode Island
