Elizabeth Leighton, Ph.D. is a Research Assistant Professor with the South Carolina Educational Policy Center (SCEPC) at the University of South Carolina. Her primary role is to provide research and program evaluation services to school districts throughout South Carolina. This includes developing quantitative and qualitative measures to assess both program implementation and impact. In her role, Elizabeth is focused on providing data analysis to guide stakeholders in making informed, data driven decisions. Prior to joining the SCEPC, Elizabeth worked in the private sector assisting school districts in grants development and program evaluation. Her primary research interests include applications of latent variable modeling, survey development, and investigating issues related to school climate in K-12 settings. Elizabeth obtained her Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Research from the University of South Carolina.
