Epidemiologist

Sara Blough, MPH is an epidemiologist with CDC's STOP (Stop Transmission of Polio) Team within the Center for Global Health's (CGH) Global Immunization Division (GID) leading all programmatic monitoring and evaluation (M&E) efforts. She provides support to the team during the recruitment, training, and deployment cycles, along with continuous M&E for process improvement. Over the course of her four-and-a-half years with CDC, Sara has also completed multiple emergency response deployments for both the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Measles Incident Management System (MIMS). Prior to joining the STOP Team, she spent time at the undergraduate and graduate levels conducting global health research in India, South Africa, and Switzerland. She has published on outbreak response evaluation, domestic mitigation strategies and global impacts of COVID-19, graphic modelling of HIV transmission, and maternal and child health outcomes in Georgia (US).
