Dr. Sanders earned her PhD in Medical Anthropology from The University of Montana in 2012 and teaches social sciences and public health at higher education institutions in Montana and Maine. For the past 17 years, she has conducted mixed methods research, impact monitoring and evaluation, and learning for governmental and non-governmental service organizations. Her work focuses on the impacts of health and education interventions in rural parts of the globe, and her research experience includes social determinants of health, microclimates, and the importance of social networks in risk-taking in the US, Nepal, Kenya, and Uganda.
