Carol Pazera, M.S., M.A., serves as senior research analyst at the Charles A. Dana Center at The University of Texas at Austin. She has over 20 years of experience in managing and conducting quantitative and qualitative research and analyses through an equity lens.
Carol leads the Dana Center’s evaluation efforts for a family of projects that facilitates a successful transition from high school to college; builds the capabilities and desire of students to engage, persist, and succeed in math and science; and introduces the educators who serve them to a powerful body of research and practice. She liaises with external organizations and consultants to bring a variety of expertise to impact measurement and to ensure that the voices of students and families are centered in the work.
Carol also leads a team of UT Austin researchers in the collection, analysis, and reporting of data from hundreds of teachers and over a thousand students in 10 states as part of the Center’s collaboration with a consortium of organizations field testing high school science materials to be released as free, open-source curricula. She coordinates multistate evaluation efforts with external partners and program staff and facilitates processes for learning from and using evaluation findings.
