CEO / Community Consultant
Susan Wolfe and Associates, LLC
Grand Prairie, Texas, United States
I’ve been an evaluator for over 37 years. My work mostly focuses on health and educational disparities. I enjoy collaborating with all types of organizations on almost any topic and with community collaboratives for their development and evaluation. I regularly partner with other evaluators for larger projects and projects that can be strengthened with my colleagues’ knowledge and expertise. My approach is collaborative, recognizing the expertise of my clients and the community members with whom I work. I have a deep commitment to social justice, anti-racism, unity, and equity that shows throughout the work I do and my actions.
My employment experience includes research, evaluation, and program management for community medical centers; directing a large two-city, longitudinal, study of homelessness; and working as an analyst and team leader for the U.S. DHHS Office of the Inspector General. My favorite job has been owning my own consulting company.
I have a Master of Arts with postgraduate work in Ecological Psychology with a graduate cognate in Organizational Psychology from Michigan State University, and a PhD in Human Development from the University of Texas at Dallas. I am committed to ongoing professional development and lifelong learning. I like to share what I learn through publications of various types, and presenting at local, state, national, and international conferences. Most recently my colleague, Dr. Ann Webb Price and I co-wrote the book “Guidebook to Community Consulting: A Collaborative Approach” published by Cambridge University Press in 2023.
Personally, I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother (Nana), a chihuahua mom, a pretty good cook, a crocheter, a Baha’i, a friend, and a world citizen. I like to travel anywhere in the world, with several places still on my bucket list, to try new restaurants and cuisines, and I also love just hanging out at home.
