Marina Apgar is Research Fellow in the Participation, Inclusion and Social Change cluster at the Institute of Development Studies in the UK. She is a human ecologist with 20 years’ experience working in the research-practice divide with marginalised communities in international development supporting learning and change in complex systems. With an emphasis on systemic and power aware Participatory Action Research and use of Theory of Change she accompanies development and humanitarian organisations as they build, test and improve complexity aware monitoring and evaluation systems. She specialises in methodological bricolage to support inclusive rigour.
