The EVAL2023 StorySlam invites people to share a true story, told in the first person, no longer than five minutes about Lessons Learned. This 90 minute storyslam is co-hosted by AEA and Storytelling Arts of Indiana. This storytelling event will take place Wednesday October 11 at 7:30 pm (after the “Meet the Authors” + Poster Reception) Cash Bar will be available!
Everyone is welcome to attend the storyslam; story tellers will be randomly selected from those who throw their name in the hat at 7:30 pm. The prompt for this event is:
Lessons Learned could look like: • Sharing a story about an “aha moment,” a time when your understanding of a situation changed, or what an important mentor taught you. • Letting the audience eavesdrop on advice you’d give your younger self or future self. • Talking about context and positionality - how have they affected your work?
