Abstract Information: Evalblues is a weekly comic strip (Illustration) of day-to-day reflection on the life of an evaluator. It is currently published by Cloneshouse. Evalblues is published via evalblues.org, the cloneshouse newsletter, and other cloneshouse social media channels. At the AEA conference, Evalbues will be printed in a poster format to facilitate discussions amongst participants. At the conference, we hope to garner more reflections from other evaluators that will be used in further publications.
Relevance Statement: Evalblues is a weekly 2-panel publication describing what commissioners and evaluators experience while implementing an evaluation. The stories cut across the different evaluation theories and methods and how evaluators meander some of the nuances that exist across the different approaches vis-a-vis its activities. From the lens of an evaluator in the global south, Evalblues captures reflections of evaluation processes related to commissioners and evaluators. The illustrations include kick-off meeting reflections, enumeration management, field data collection experiences, report writing, and other illustrations depicting the processes of conducting an evaluation.
