Social Science Researcher University of Texas Austin, Ray Marshall Center for the Study of Human Resources, Texas, United States
Thomas, as a social science researcher with the Ray Marshall Center, has plenty of experience in data analysis and evaluation, both of the quantitative and qualitative varieties. Thomas has assisted with a randomized control trial study with Nuru Nigeria on farmer’s adaptive resilience capacities over the past 5-years, where qualitative focus group discussion models are used to reinforce the robust quantitative analysis conducted. Thomas will use these experiences, alongside his other work with the Ray Marshall Center, to identify how storytelling and other qualitative inputs serve to bolster evaluation, and can be used both in the development and social science sectors.
