Telling a tale of tech and health system partnerships: lessons learned and opportunities for the future
Navigation to improve health equity in birth outcomes: lessons from an evaluation of the implementation of a text-based navigation program at a large health system
Sr. Evaluation and Learning Consultant Center for Community Health and Evaluation, Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute Seattle, Washington, United States
A national health care system implemented an initiative to improve outcomes for birthing persons using a community-based navigator alongside a text-messaging platform (navigation program). This presentation will share lessons learned from evaluating this program, including lessons around implementation, managing evaluation expectations, merging data coming from the partners, and using evaluation as a way to elevate the voices of patients and front-line staff that may not have otherwise been part of the conversation.
