This presentation describes how the evaluation team designed, executed, and documented a story circle methodology to collect data on how educational professionals were learning and applying a quality improvement model to addressing the challenges in distance learning. These education professionals are participating in an ongoing virtual work group to learn and apply a networked improvement community approach through training developed by and coaching from the Region 5 Comprehensive Cents. We describe how we facilitated a hybrid learning circle, supported active participation in the circle by virtual and in-person attendees, and solicited impactful and meaningful stories about continuous quality improvement. We close with lessons learned about how to integrate narratives with more traditional qualitative analysis as well as suggestions for other evaluators looking to use a story circle methodology.
