Abstract Information: An attractive feature about needs assessment is that there are many tools in the toolbox and not necessarily a “best” tool for any given situation. This session will focus on the utilization of needs assessment (NA) tools and modalities that can, should, and/or have been implemented to meet project, program and policy needs. Join members of the Needs Assessment TIG and others with recent needs assessment experiences in this fast paced “ignite” style session.

Relevance Statement: The session will provide examples of applied methodology and knowledge on, among others, the following topics: Avoiding manipulation in community engagement process in NA; Community engaged participatory NA; Training 70+ year old evaluators in new tech; Modified online nominal group technique; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI)NA and asset mapping; Needs-aware Artificial Intelligence; Photovoice and NA; After Action Reviews in the context of NA.
